Elm end table with Maple bowties

The origin of this rough sawn Elm "cookie" (Live edge all around) came from an Amish woodworker in Ohio.  I brought it home, flatten it, and inserted solid Maple bowties to add character and to stablilize the natural cracks.  Bowties have often been used to repair wood pieces and it shows the craftsmanship of woodworking.  Black hairpin legs were used to not take away from what the focus of this table should be.  The possibilities are endless when you have furniture custom built with solid wood slabs.  I shop for unique pieces and species when I travel to different areas of the country, that are not native to the Nevada area, to offer my clients a one of a kind crafted piece of furniture for their home.
